Migratory Wild Birds on Zoo Grounds

Migratory birds

Zoo staff are capturing, identifying, banding and then releasing the wild birds living on or passing through the Zoo in order to learn more about the local bird populations. To date, approximately 150 bird species have been identified on our grounds, and many wild bird species nest at the Zoo.
