Summer Job
Each year positions are available for summer help at Heritage Farm, where domestic and wild animals found in Wisconsin are presented to the public. For the position of Heritage Farm Attendant, six months of animal experience with animals other than personal household pets is required. Emphasis is placed on public speaking ability and experience in giving animal information to children and adults. Applicants are required to be residents of Milwaukee County and at least 18. Applications for both seasonal (approximatley Memorial Day through Labor Day) and full-time positions are available from the Department of Human Resources, room 210, Milwaukee County Courthouse. To volunteer at the Milwaukee County Zoo, contact Zoo Pride at (414) 258-5667. Zoo Pride volunteers do not work directly with the animals, but are invaluable for observing animals and disseminating information to the public.
