At
the Milwaukee County Zoo, we're happy to do everything we can
to make your visit convenient and comfortable. All our buildings
are handicap accessible and the Milwaukee County Zoo and its
cooperating agencies adhere to the American with Disabilities
Act. We request 72 hours prior notice to an event to accommodate
visitors with disabilities. Please call the Zoo at 414.771.3040
for the necessary arrangements.
Wheelchairs
and motorized scooters are available for rent.
The Zoo rents both standard wheelchairs and motorized scooters.
We also rent adult strollers, which need the aid of a second
person to push the vehicle. These accommodate persons up
to 250 pounds. The cost of a standard wheelchair or adult
stroller is $8 each. The cost of a motorized scooter is
$22. These do not need to be reserved in advanced. They
can be rented near the main entrance to the Zoo; just to
the left of the Humboldt Penguin Exhibit as you enter the
Zoo.
Families
can bring their own strollers or wagons into the Zoo or
rent one on the grounds!
You may bring in your own stroller or wagon. The Zoo does
rent strollers for a fee of $6. These can be rented near
the main entrance to the Zoo; just to the left of the Humboldt
Penguin Exhibit as you enter the Zoo.
